DSICLAIER: I understand that this competition is for amateur competitors and that and that by registering my act I am stating that I am not now, nor have I ever entered into a professional contract with a record company or entertainment company. I understand that my performance must not contain violent or sexually explicit lyrics or gestures and that such lyrics or gestures will cause me to be disqualified. I further understand that I/ my group must perform sober and that any gang references or gestures will cause me/my group to be disqualified. I understand that I will be judged based on execution, stage presentation, content, personal demeanor and national appeal. I also understand that if I win, I will receive a CASH prize and a chance to be featured on the upcoming CSU CD Compilation to be recorded this summer.

June 27th
Sound Check 6pm-7:30 if you miss sound check you CAN NOT COMPETE no exceptions.

June 28th
All contestants must be at the TCC South East Campus PACE 81st and Highway 169 at 5:00pm.

Doors open at 6pm. We are taping for TV so please be on time and ready.

Contest Expectations
1. Please be on time.
If you are running late or are unable to make it please call 918-582-3580. 2. If you are doing performance tracks your CD must contain 1 song only. 3. As this is an amateur competition, things happen that cannot be prepared for, so please remain available at all times and be flexible at all times. 4. A part of the judging of your talent is how you’ve impacted the audience so be aware that you are entertaining as well as competing. 5. Your attitude and demeanor is also a part of the competition. How you handle yourself before, during, and after your performance is being judged as well. 6. Please have fun! We are going to attempt to establish a relationship with you to help you achieve your goals after this competition so regardless of how you do, you’ve already won.

Every year Vertical Life and TCC sponsor a talent competition that gives students a platform for constructive creativity and reward. The winners win cash prizes and are eligible to be featured on the annual Project YES CD Compilation that plays on KJAMZ 105 and The Edge.
